Since ‘100 Things On Black’ has now finished I’ve been busy filling a new sketchbook. Not sure where I’m heading at the moment, but I’m sure I will find my way to something. Some of these drawings feature little wooden Sumo’s (seems only appropriate) that I received as gift from my lovely wife. They are like spinning tops and have a handle on their heads for gripping. They are spun on a circular block which forms the dohyō (土俵) or ring. Once you get a couple going they spin into each other and hopefully one knocks the other off. Loads of addictive fun!
